Shift: Days (Monday–Friday, ~8-hour shifts) | No Weekends
Accountability: 24/7 departmental oversight (no routine call rotation)

Home to a Level II NICU and comprehensive surgical services
The hospital continues to expand its surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, Bariatrics, and Vascular services, with increasing elective and outpatient surgical volumes.
The OR Nurse Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for Surgical Services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care delivery. This role oversees daily department operations, staffing, quality outcomes, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
The Manager is responsible for fostering a collaborative culture, enhancing clinical excellence, and supporting department growth initiatives.
Lead and operationalize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes
Oversee daily workflow, staffing plans, and personnel management
Interview, hire, onboard, and develop clinical staff
Provide hands-on leadership and clinical support as needed
Ensure compliance with department-specific standards of care
Maintain appropriate staffing levels to support patient care needs
Manage safety initiatives, operational goals, and departmental performance
Address patient, physician, and visitor concerns professionally and promptly
Provide coaching, counseling, and performance management
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary leaders to improve surgical care delivery
Oversees: Central Sterile, Operating Room, Anesthesia, and First Assists
50 Direct Reports
4–5 Coordinators
10 Operating Rooms (2 dedicated to OB)
3 Da Vinci XI Robotic Surgical Systems
High-volume elective and outpatient surgical services
Inpatient add-on cases as needed
The role works closely with the Surgical Services Director and additional Surgery leadership overseeing PACU, Endoscopy, and Same Day Surgery.
Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma (required)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
Active RN license (Tennessee or Compact State)
Minimum 1 year of related clinical experience
Prior clinical leadership experience required (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Lead experience considered)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
