Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking experienced Coding Quality Review (CQR) Specialists to join a leading healthcare revenue cycle organization. This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity focused on hospital-based inpatient and outpatient coding quality audits.

This role is responsible for ensuring coding accuracy, regulatory compliance, and reimbursement integrity across multiple facilities.

Important Notes:

  • Hospital-based inpatient and outpatient auditing experience is required.

  • Physician-only coding experience will not be considered.

  • Candidates residing in California, Alaska, New York, or Colorado are not eligible for this remote position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine, pre-bill, policy-driven, and incentive-based quality reviews

  • Perform MS-DRG inpatient coding audits

  • Review outpatient coding for accuracy and compliance

  • Ensure adherence to official coding guidelines and regulatory standards

  • Maintain minimum 95% productivity and 95% accuracy standards

  • Apply expert-level coding knowledge across all body systems (not specialty-specific)

  • Participate in special audits and internal quality improvement initiatives

  • Stay current with coding updates, reimbursement methodologies, and documentation standards

  • Complete required compliance and continuing education training


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hospital-based coding experience (inpatient and outpatient required)

  • 3+ years of hands-on MS-DRG inpatient auditing experience in a hospital setting

  • Experience auditing across all body systems (not specialty-focused)

  • Strong knowledge of MS-DRG methodology and reimbursement guidelines

  • Active certification required: CCS, RHIA, and/or RHIT

  • IP Coding Auditor experience for MS-DRG required

  • Hospital experience is mandatory

  • Must not be a recent graduate

  • Ability to complete a mandatory 1-hour job shadow interview


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or Health Information Technology (HIT)
