Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Pediatrics

Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Schedule Details

• 3x12-hour night shifts

• Weekend Coverage: Every Other Weekend

• Floating Required (based on census and competency)

Patient Population

• Pediatric Floors

• Pediatric ICU (PICU)

• Emergency Department

• Neonatal ICU (NICU)

This role requires strong pediatric critical care experience and the ability to work across multiple high-acuity environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients

• Manage ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and advanced airway support

• Assist with intubation and emergency airway procedures

• Administer respiratory medications and treatments

• Monitor and document patient response to therapy

• Respond to rapid response and emergency situations

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric and neonatal teams

• Float to appropriate units as needed based on census

Systems & Equipment

• Medication Systems: Pyxis and Omnicell

• Documentation System: EPIC (Minimum 1 year required)

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RRT credential

• South Carolina Respiratory License

• BLS

• NRP

• PALS

Required Experience

• Pediatric Critical Care

• Pediatric Floor Experience

• Emergency Department

• NICU experience strongly required
