Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Verona, NY 13478
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Shift: Day Shift (8-hour shifts)
We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment at a reputable oncology center in Verona, NY. The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for delivering prescribed radiation treatments in accordance with physician directives and established safety and regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Local Pay Rate: $2,200 – $2,500 per week
Travel Pay Rate: $2,400 – $2,800 per week
Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
Interpret treatment prescriptions and accurately administer radiation doses.
Operate and maintain advanced radiotherapy equipment, including Linear Accelerators, Co-60 units, Simulators, and related technology.
Perform CT Simulation and assist in tumor localization and treatment planning.
Conduct pre-treatment procedures including contouring, imaging, and data collection for treatment plans.
Capture and review radiographic images to confirm treatment fields and volumes.
Monitor patients for radiation reactions and provide appropriate care and education.
Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
Maintain accurate treatment records, documentation, and port films.
Coordinate patient appointments and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams.
Participate in departmental in-service training and continuing education programs.
Experience with TrueBeam technology
Experience with CT Simulation (CT Sim)
Associate Degree (AAS) from an accredited AMA-approved Radiation Therapy program.
ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (active and in good standing).
Active New York State Radiation Therapist license.
Minimum 3–5 years of related clinical experience preferred.
Must pass pre-employment health clearance.
