Shift Options: Days, Evenings, Nights
Schedule: 6 shifts per 2-week period (6 or 12-hour shifts)
Location - Syracuse, NY
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will support the Med/Surg Float Pool, providing direct and indirect patient care across multiple units. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to varying patient populations and acuity levels.
Current New York State CNA Certification
BLS Certification required
Minimum one (1) year of patient care experience
Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
Level 1 trauma hospital experience required
Obtain and document vital signs
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, toileting, and feeding
Serve as a safety companion for patients at risk
Monitor patient condition and report changes to nursing staff
Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Uphold ethical standards and patient confidentiality
Demonstrate knowledge of normal growth and development
Support positive patient and family interactions
Level 1 trauma hospital experience
BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of experience providing ADLs
Experience serving as a safety companion (highly desired)
