Job Title: Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Watertown, NY 13601
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-Hour Nights)
Schedule Requirement: Weekends, Holidays, and On-Call Required
Pay Rate: $2,289.96 – $2,433.96 Weekly Gross (Based on Experience)
Radius Rule: 100-Mile Radius Rule Applies

Position Overview:

A reputable acute care hospital in Northern New York is seeking an experienced Travel RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role requires a clinically strong nurse with prior travel experience who can function independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a Progressive Care/Step-Down setting

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments (clinical, psychosocial, educational, and spiritual)

  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize lethal dysrhythmias

  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders

  • Identify safety risks and implement safe patient handling techniques

  • Prioritize and delegate effectively in high-stress situations

  • May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed

  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

  • Active New York State RN License

  • Current Critical Care Experience Preferred

  • Minimum of 1 Successful Completed Travel Assignment (Required)

  • BLS Certification (Required)

  • ACLS Certification (Required)

  • PALS Certification (Preferred)

  • Basic Lethal Dysrhythmia Certification within 6 months of employment

  • NIHSS Certification within first 6 months
