Job Title: Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Watertown, NY 13601
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-Hour Nights)
Schedule Requirement: Weekends, Holidays, and On-Call Required
Pay Rate: $2,289.96 – $2,433.96 Weekly Gross (Based on Experience)
Radius Rule: 100-Mile Radius Rule Applies
A reputable acute care hospital in Northern New York is seeking an experienced Travel RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role requires a clinically strong nurse with prior travel experience who can function independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Provide high-quality patient care in a Progressive Care/Step-Down setting
Perform comprehensive patient assessments (clinical, psychosocial, educational, and spiritual)
Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize lethal dysrhythmias
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Identify safety risks and implement safe patient handling techniques
Prioritize and delegate effectively in high-stress situations
May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
Active New York State RN License
Current Critical Care Experience Preferred
Minimum of 1 Successful Completed Travel Assignment (Required)
BLS Certification (Required)
ACLS Certification (Required)
PALS Certification (Preferred)
Basic Lethal Dysrhythmia Certification within 6 months of employment
NIHSS Certification within first 6 months
