Schedule: 4 Days per Week | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM | 28 Hours per Week


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher (Elementary Resource) for a school-based contract opportunity in Wilson, North Carolina for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year.

The selected candidate will manage a caseload of approximately 30 elementary students and provide resource support services aligned with IEP goals and state guidelines.


Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction to elementary students in a resource setting

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 30 students

  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and ongoing progress monitoring

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

  • Participate in staff meetings and required school activities

  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation per state and district guidelines

  • Ensure proper implementation of accommodations and modifications

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment


Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina Exceptional Children (EC) License required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field

  • Prior experience in an elementary resource classroom preferred

  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and documentation requirements

  • Ability to manage caseloads and meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Must successfully complete required district background screening
