Position Title: Special Education Teacher – Elementary Resource
Location: Wilson, NC 27893
Duration: 13 Weeks (2025–2026 School Year)

Compensation: $40.00 – $46.00 per hour
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,000 – $1,288
Schedule: 4 Days per Week | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM | 28 Hours per Week
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher (Elementary Resource) for a school-based contract opportunity in Wilson, North Carolina for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year.
The selected candidate will manage a caseload of approximately 30 elementary students and provide resource support services aligned with IEP goals and state guidelines.
Provide specialized instruction to elementary students in a resource setting
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Manage a caseload of approximately 30 students
Conduct assessments, evaluations, and ongoing progress monitoring
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
Participate in staff meetings and required school activities
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation per state and district guidelines
Ensure proper implementation of accommodations and modifications
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Active North Carolina Exceptional Children (EC) License required
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
Prior experience in an elementary resource classroom preferred
Strong knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and documentation requirements
Ability to manage caseloads and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Must successfully complete required district background screening
