Job Title: Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (Level 1 Trauma)

Pay: $45/hr | $1,828/week + $1,148 weekly stipend
Unit: Operating Room
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM (10hr Day – FIRM schedule, no alternate schedule requests)
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Weekends, holidays, and on-call required
Hours: 40 hours/week (Guaranteed)
Schedule Type: Deferred Schedule
Block Scheduling: Not permitted
Contract Type: Allied
Daily OT after 24 hours (Based on multiplier)
Weekly OT after 40 hours (Based on multiplier)

Job Description:
The Surgical Technologist assists in surgical procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting Level 1 Trauma cases. This role requires maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments and supplies, and assisting the surgical team throughout the perioperative process.
Responsibilities:
Perform scrub duties following established aseptic techniques
Prepare sterile instrument tables and supplies based on surgical procedures
Assist with patient positioning, draping, and operative site preparation
Anticipate surgeon’s needs for instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies
Maintain accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts
Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout procedures
Assist with specimen handling, dressings, and patient transfer
Support circulating nurse functions as needed
Assist with room turnover and preparation for the next case
