Job Title: Medical Assistant II
Location: Cincinnati, OH 45219
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $21 per hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant II to support physicians in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient clinic operations, delivering high-quality patient care, and maintaining accurate documentation within the EMR system.
Assist physicians with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Record vital signs, medical histories, and medication lists accurately in the EMR.
Prepare and review patient charts to ensure completeness of diagnostic reports and documentation.
Process medication refills and prior authorizations; communicate effectively with pharmacies and insurance providers.
Manage patient calls, portal messages, and EMR work queues in a timely manner.
Schedule appointments, complete patient check-in/check-out, and coordinate pre-certifications.
Perform clinical procedures including EKGs, cardiac monitoring, vaccinations, phlebotomy, splinting, and cast removal as assigned.
Maintain exam room cleanliness, stock supplies, and ensure equipment readiness.
Adhere to all safety, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance standards.
Travel to additional physician offices as required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Current BLS certification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, EMR systems, and scheduling software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
2–5 years of Medical Assistant or relevant clinical experience.
Experience across multiple care settings (Primary Care, Specialty, EMT, etc.).
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential.
Associate degree preferred.
