About the Role

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a self-directed and clinically strong Nurse Manager to lead an 11-bed Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) in Mt. Dora, FL. This leadership role oversees daily operations, staffing, and clinical excellence while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in a low-volume emergency setting.

The Nurse Manager will operationalize evidence-based practices, optimize patient throughput (admissions and discharges), and foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and teamwork. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage nursing practice, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations and staffing for the 11-bed emergency department

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal benchmarks

  • Maintain safe, efficient, and effective department performance

Clinical Excellence

  • Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes

  • Monitor quality metrics and drive performance improvement initiatives

Patient Experience

  • Lead efforts to deliver exceptional patient-centered care

  • Address and resolve service recovery concerns promptly and professionally

Team Development

  • Identify training and development needs

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management

  • Promote employee engagement and retention strategies

Throughput & Financial Oversight

  • Manage admissions and discharge processes to support efficient patient flow

  • Oversee department operating expenses while maintaining productivity standards

  • Identify cost-containment opportunities without compromising care quality


Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of recent (within the last year) Acute Care ER leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Coordinator, or Supervisor required)

Licensure:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required

Certifications:

  • BCLS required within 30 days of start

  • ACLS required within 6 months of start

  • PALS or ENPC required within 6 months of start

Preferred:

  • Experience within a large healthcare system environment preferred
