Schedule: Monday – Friday | Day Shift
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 32.5 Hours per Week
Pay Rate: $33/hour (Local) | $40/hour (Traveler)

Position Overview

A public school district in Washington State is seeking a Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) to provide direct behavioral support within a high school setting. This contract assignment involves supporting a student with significant behavioral challenges, including aggression, in a structured educational environment.

The CBT will work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and interdisciplinary team members to implement behavior intervention plans while ensuring student safety and dignity.

This position requires confidence, strong behavior management skills, and the ability to work with minimal orientation and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct behavioral support to a high school student with challenging behaviors and aggression

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under appropriate supervision

  • Monitor and document behavioral progress and interventions accurately

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and interdisciplinary team members

  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment

  • Uphold student privacy, dignity, and safety at all times

  • Participate in team meetings and school-based educational programs as required

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Prior experience supporting students with aggressive or challenging behaviors

Education

  • Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) credential required

Certifications & Compliance

  • Active CBT certification required

  • Verification of legal right to work in the United States

  • Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and background check

Work Environment Details

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule

  • Day shift only

  • School-based special education setting

  • Assignment supports high school behavioral services (float pool coverage)

  • Minimal orientation provided; candidate must be confident and experienced

  • School will not conduct direct interviews
