Position Overview

The organization is undertaking multiple modernization initiatives for Fiscal Year 2027 (beginning July 1, 2026). These efforts include implementing a formal data retention policy, eliminating duplicate data across systems, and enhancing configuration management processes.

As part of a transition from an on-premises Accela platform to a cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment, a dedicated Data Architect is needed to ensure scalability, compliance, operational continuity, and storage cost optimization.

This consultant will support multiple initiatives tied to CRM and related database systems, ensuring consistent application of data governance, architecture, and integration strategies. The role is critical in maintaining a unified architectural vision that supports both immediate operational needs and long-term modernization goals.


Key Objectives

The Consultant Data Architect will:

  • Provide strategic architectural support across CRM and associated databases aligned with modernization goals

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data retention and archival strategy to reduce storage costs and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Architect and lead duplicate data remediation initiatives across Business Automation (BA) and AIMS systems

  • Apply and enforce master data management (MDM) principles

  • Support configuration management improvements by aligning governance standards with CRM and infrastructure strategies

  • Deliver detailed documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure long-term sustainability


Key Responsibilities

  • Design enterprise data models and manage metadata frameworks

  • Develop and implement archival frameworks for CRM and AIMS data

  • Collaborate with CRM and infrastructure teams to align configuration management with governance best practices

  • Lead deduplication initiatives and implement master data management strategies

  • Establish data governance standards and ensure adherence across systems

  • Prepare technical documentation and provide structured knowledge transfer to internal teams


Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise data architecture

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and related database systems

  • Experience designing scalable, compliant data architectures in cloud environments

  • Proven experience with data governance, metadata management, and integration strategies

  • Ability to work cross-functionally across technical and business teams


Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, governance, and metadata management

  • Proven success designing and implementing data retention and archival strategies for large-scale systems

  • Strong knowledge of CRM data structures and integration with external systems

  • Experience with master data management (MDM) and deduplication strategies

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Experience supporting cross-divisional modernization initiatives
