Hours: 8:50 AM – 3:40 PM (6.83 hours/day)
Meal Break: 30 Minutes
Pay Rate: $38 – $50 per hour
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,297.70 – $1,707.50
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education (SPED) Teacher – Autism Program to support middle school students in a structured learning environment in Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students on the autism spectrum and a strong commitment to fostering academic achievement, behavioral development, and social-emotional growth.
This is a 20-week contract opportunity following a Monday–Friday school schedule.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Deliver specialized instruction aligned with state standards and individual student goals.
Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Implement evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies to support student success.
Collect, track, and analyze student performance data to guide instructional decisions.
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, paraprofessionals, and school leadership.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
Foster a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
Valid Virginia Teaching License with Special Education endorsement (required).
Experience working with middle school students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Strong knowledge of IEP development, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and data-driven instruction.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
CPI certification or behavioral intervention training (preferred).
Experience with assistive technology and augmentative communication systems.
Familiarity with evidence-based autism interventions (ABA principles, structured teaching, social skills instruction).
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
