A large, specialized women’s and newborn acute care hospital serving the Houston metropolitan area. This 400+ bed facility focuses exclusively on women’s health and neonatal services and delivers one of the highest birth volumes in the state.
The hospital features a Level IV NICU providing the highest level of neonatal care and comprehensive family-centered support services. The organization is part of a nationally recognized healthcare network offering strong clinical resources and advancement opportunities.
The Nurse Manager RN – NICU assists the Director in overseeing all departmental operations to ensure alignment with organizational goals, patient care standards, and quality initiatives.
This leadership role supports clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and staff development within a 30-bed Level IV NICU.
Assist in managing daily NICU operations
Support and drive Performance Improvement and Quality initiatives
Ensure nursing care delivery follows established nursing processes
Provide clinical leadership and staff supervision
Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care services
Oversee approximately 20–35 full-time staff across multiple shifts
Support staffing, scheduling, and departmental growth initiatives
Report directly to the Director
BSN required
Minimum 2+ years NICU experience required
Recent (within last year) acute care NICU leadership experience (Level III or IV) required
2+ years of management or Charge Nurse experience required
Current Texas RN License or Multi-State Compact License (must obtain Texas license within 60 days if compact)
Current AHA BLS Certification required
