A healthcare facility in Brooklyn, New York is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Post Partum / Mother Baby to deliver high-quality, family-centered nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns. This role emphasizes clinical excellence, patient education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams while ensuring adherence to established clinical standards and safety protocols.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns
Monitor maternal and newborn status and respond promptly to clinical changes
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered
Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures
Assist with conscious sedation monitoring when required
Promote maternal-infant bonding and provide breastfeeding education and support
Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child Health nursing experience
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited nursing program
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
Primary Source Verification from NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
