Salary Range: $117,423 – $155,000 annually (based on experience)
Annual Incentive Bonus: 17.5%

A 403-bed, Level I Trauma Center and leading acute-care hospital serving the South Atlantic region. This organization has a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and offers advanced services including cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, pediatric intensive care, advanced wound care, breast cancer services, and multiple emergency departments. The hospital is Joint Commission–recognized for excellence in stroke, sepsis, chest pain, and joint replacement care.
A nationally recognized healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Director of Case Management to lead all operational, clinical, and strategic functions of the Case Management department. This role partners closely with executive and interdisciplinary leadership to optimize patient flow, care coordination, utilization management, and regulatory compliance in a high-volume acute-care setting.
Direct and evaluate all Case Management department operations, including staffing models, FTE management, onboarding, competencies, and workflows
Oversee care coordination, utilization review, and discharge planning processes
Ensure timely, accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with finance and division-level leadership to meet operational and financial objectives
Analyze performance data and implement sustainable process improvement initiatives
Build strong partnerships with executive and clinical stakeholders (C-suite, Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Nursing, Medical Staff)
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 30 Case Management FTEs
Promote a culture aligned with the organization’s mission, values, and Code of Conduct
Bachelor’s degree (required)
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration (preferred)
Active licensure in one of the following:
Registered Nurse (RN)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
Minimum 3+ years of recent acute-care hospital Case Management experience
Minimum 2+ years of Case Management leadership experience
Director-level or senior leadership experience strongly preferred
Experience in large, high-volume acute-care hospitals
Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
Strong expertise in care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization management
Demonstrated ability to lead change, manage competing priorities, and work independently
Excellent communication skills, executive presence, and stakeholder engagement ability
