Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: Night Shift

  • Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts

  • Hours: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM

  • Rotation: 7 days on / 7 days off

  • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

  • Block Scheduling: Not permitted


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support a community hospital clinical laboratory on a night shift assignment. This role requires a strong generalist background with hands-on experience across hematology, chemistry, and blood bank (tube method). Candidates must be comfortable working independently during overnight hours in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Note: This unit does not accept first-time travelers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform generalist laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, and blood bank

  • Conduct specimen analysis, result validation, and quality control procedures

  • Operate and troubleshoot automated laboratory instruments

  • Perform blood bank testing including crossmatching, antibody identification, and antigen typing

  • Maintain compliance with laboratory safety standards, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements

  • Accurately document results and communicate critical values as required


Required Certifications

  • ASCP – MLT or ASCP – MLS (Required)


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of recent Medical Laboratory Technician experience

  • Community hospital clinical laboratory experience – Required

  • First-time travelers will not be considered
