Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Job Description

The client is seeking a Telemetry Technician to provide continuous cardiac monitoring in a hospital-based setting. The role involves advanced ECG monitoring, accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms, and rapid response to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes.

The Telemetry Technician will work closely with nursing and clinical teams to ensure patient safety through continuous monitoring, alarm response, and documentation in compliance with organizational policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform continuous EKG and telemetry monitoring with accurate rhythm interpretation

  • Analyze ECG strips and identify dysrhythmias and rhythm changes

  • Respond promptly to monitor alarms and initiate appropriate actions, including code response

  • Record cardiac rhythms during code situations

  • Perform electrocardiograms with correct electrode placement

  • Communicate effectively with charge nurses, physicians, and clinical staff

  • Enter, verify, and manage orders in the electronic system

  • Retrieve lab results and escalate concerns to the charge nurse

  • Ensure documentation complies with organizational policies and standards

  • Safely operate and troubleshoot monitoring and medical equipment


Experience Required

  • Prior experience working directly as a Telemetry Technician or Monitor Technician – Required


Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent – Required


Certifications & Licensure (Required)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or Red Cross

  • Dysrhythmia Course Completion


Preferred Qualifications

  • EKG Certification – Preferred


Additional Requirements

  • Must be available for 100% onsite work

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – Required
