Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM (end time may vary based on clinic flow)
Pay Rate: $18–$21 per hour
The Medical Assistant II provides clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers in a busy outpatient urology clinic. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient clinic operations, high-quality patient care, and a positive patient experience. The Medical Assistant II works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures
Prepare patients for visits by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
Perform basic clinical tasks including injections, EKGs, specimen collection, and wound care, within scope of practice
Administer medications and immunizations per provider orders and established protocols
Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies
Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records (EMR)
Provide patient education and post-visit instructions as directed
Schedule appointments and assist with administrative or front-office duties as needed
Maintain infection control, safety, and compliance standards
Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and healthcare staff
Support clinic workflow efficiency in a high-volume setting
Float as needed to up to five additional urology clinics within the area
Education & Certification
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required or preferred
Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required or preferred based on facility guidelines
Skills & Experience
Urology clinic experience required
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient or clinical setting
Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and patient care practices
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Professional, dependable, and patient-focused approach
Experience in outpatient, primary care, or specialty clinics
Phlebotomy and EKG experience
Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical workflows
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced healthcare environment
