Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5 shifts per week
Hours per Shift: 8.5 hours
Total Weekly Hours: 42.5
Shift Time: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides diagnostic imaging services using radioactive materials to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. This role requires technical expertise, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care within an acute care hospital setting.
Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
Operate and monitor nuclear medicine imaging equipment
Ensure proper patient positioning, comfort, and safety throughout procedures
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately
Follow radiation safety guidelines, infection control policies, and regulatory standards
Accurately document procedures, patient information, and imaging results in the EMR
Perform routine quality control and equipment checks
Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes
Active Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (ARRT-NM or NMTCB)
Current state license or eligibility to obtain prior to start
BLS certification
Minimum 1–2 years of nuclear medicine experience preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills
