Pay Rate: $23–$24/hour (W2)


Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist / Medical Clerical Assistant to support daily administrative operations within a healthcare setting. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interact professionally with patients, clinical staff, and healthcare providers.

Candidates must have recent healthcare experience, with at least 6 months of work on a healthcare-related project.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, reception, and meeting coordination

  • Type, prepare, and format correspondence and documents

  • Index, organize, and maintain records and files

  • Operate standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, and photocopiers

  • Enter and maintain accurate data with a typing speed of 50 keystrokes per minute

  • Act as a liaison between patients, nurses, physicians, and administrative staff

  • Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

  • Support front-desk and back-office administrative workflows as needed


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant clerical or administrative experience

  • At least 6 months of recent healthcare experience required

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities

  • Ability to interact with patients throughout the workday


Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Prior medical office experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred
