Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts | 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology is responsible for evaluating patients, assisting physicians, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered oncology care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on individual patient needs, with a strong focus on evidence-based practice in an inpatient oncology setting.
Evaluate patients and assist physicians with comprehensive patient care
Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs and clinical priorities
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to identify care needs and priorities
Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage assigned patient care
Document care in accordance with standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical guidelines
Advocate for evidence-based care standards and support innovations in care delivery
Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum 2 years of acute adult oncology experience, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma
Inpatient oncology experience required
Required:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Required:
BLS (AHA)
Active New Jersey RN license or multi-state compact license
Preferred:
Telemetry
Chemotherapy Certification (ONS)
