Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Elmhurst, NY
Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Overnight | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Pay Rate: $51–$61 per hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join an acute care hospital team in Elmhurst, NY. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating MRI equipment in a hospital setting, a strong understanding of imaging protocols, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. This role includes structured onboarding and training, as well as experience working with EPIC for patient documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI scans using hospital imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols

  • Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and clear communication

  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment while adhering to safety, quality, and infection control standards

  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to obtain optimal imaging results

  • Accurately document procedures and patient information in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements

  • Support acute care imaging needs and adapt to high-acuity patient environments

  • Participate in required training, including a 2-week onboarding program (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) covering EPIC and equipment protocols

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Licenses & Certifications:

  • NYSDOH Radiologic Technologist License (required)

  • MRI certification through ARRT (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) or ARMRIT (required)

  • BLS certification (American Heart Association) – preferred

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in an acute care or hospital setting

  • Familiarity with hospital MRI equipment and imaging protocols

  • Strong patient care, communication, and technical skills

  • Ability to work independently during overnight shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment
