Job Title: X-Ray Technician (0–2 Years Experience) – Contract
Location: New York, NY 10029
Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours: 37.5–40 Hours per Week
Pay Rate: $58–$63 per hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a qualified and motivated X-Ray Technician to join a fast-paced clinical environment in New York, NY. This contract opportunity is ideal for both new graduates and early-career professionals. The X-Ray Technician will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and strict adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by explaining exams, addressing concerns, and positioning patients correctly
Operate radiologic imaging equipment and adjust exposure settings to achieve optimal diagnostic image quality
Apply radiation safety principles, including proper shielding and beam restriction
Maintain compliance with infection control policies and safety protocols
Review radiographic images for accuracy and quality; repeat or adjust images as necessary
Accurately document procedures and patient information in medical records
Perform routine equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and report equipment issues promptly
Manage and monitor radiology supplies and anticipate departmental needs
Maintain professional competency through continuing education and regulatory compliance
Complete annual Age-Specific Competency requirements
Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Perform additional duties as assigned
New York State Department of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T)
ARRT Certification (Required)
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented clinical setting
High attention to detail with a strong commitment to patient safety
No prior experience required (new graduates encouraged to apply)
Up to 2 years of recent X-Ray Technician experience preferred
