A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care in a high-acuity ventilator-focused setting. The Respiratory Therapist will assess, treat, and monitor patients requiring advanced respiratory support while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary clinical team.
Assess patient lung capacity, oxygenation, and breathing patterns
Administer respiratory treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and life-support equipment
Perform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and pulmonary function testing
Respond to medical emergencies (e.g., code situations) and provide airway management
Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, medications, and equipment use
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop and implement care plans
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and safety standards
Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment
Active Respiratory Therapist license (state license required)
RRT or CRT credential required
Prior experience in ventilator management strongly preferred
BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
