Shift: Days (Managers typically work business hours, Monday–Friday, with on-call responsibilities as needed)
$44.27 – $61.99 per hour
Compensation is heavily based on years of leadership experience
Candidates near the maximum range should have 15–20 years of leadership experience (Manager/Director level)
We are seeking an experienced and driven Emergency Room Manager to oversee clinical and operational functions within a fast-paced Emergency Department. This role is responsible for leadership, staff development, patient care quality, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Provide leadership and oversight for Emergency Department operations
Support and mentor nursing and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and departmental efficiency
Manage staffing, scheduling, performance improvement initiatives, and resource utilization
Serve as an on-call leader as required
Experience:
3+ years of Emergency Department leadership experience within the last year
Charge Nurse experience in the ED is acceptable
Strong ICU Charge Nurse experience may be considered
Licensure & Certifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – must be obtained within 60 days of start date
NIH Stroke Scale Certification – must be obtained within 90 days of start date
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – must be obtained within 90 days of start date
Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – must be obtained within 6 months of start date
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required
