The CT / MRI Technologist provides high-quality diagnostic imaging services using multiple imaging modalities. This role is responsible for accurate image acquisition, patient safety, and exceptional patient care. The technologist ensures patients are well-informed by clearly explaining imaging procedures, equipment, and exams to promote comfort, understanding, and cooperation.
Perform MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of radiographic procedures, including X-ray and Fluoroscopy (C-arm and OR support)
Adhere strictly to radiation safety principles, including ALARA standards
Operate imaging equipment in compliance with manufacturer guidelines
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service support when necessary
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation within the electronic health record (EHR), including procedure and supply charging
Assist with additional imaging functions as required; training provided as needed
Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including call coverage, overtime, and holiday shifts
Obtain additional certifications or training as required by the department
Support clerical functions, phone coverage, and patient transport when needed
Assist with training and cross-training of imaging staff
Maintain supply inventory by ordering, stocking, and monitoring materials
Work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment
Perform other duties as assigned

Complete all required annual education, training, and licensure updates

Report to work punctually and complete assigned duties within established timeframes
Participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulatory standards
Follow all infection control, safety, and risk management policies
Minimum age: 18 years (21 for positions requiring driving)
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening
Completion of employee health requirements prior to start date
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
ARRT registration in Radiography (R), including CT and MRI
Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
Preferred:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI
Cross-training experience in additional modalities such as DEXA and Mammography preferred
