The CT Technologist prepares and performs a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality diagnostic imaging. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and effective communication with patients and the healthcare team.
Prepare patients and perform diagnostic CT imaging procedures
Provide patient care and monitoring throughout imaging exams
Ensure proper positioning, imaging protocols, and radiation safety
Operate CT equipment according to established policies and procedures
Communicate effectively with radiologists and other medical staff
Maintain accurate documentation related to procedures performed
Requires finger dexterity, visual acuity, hearing, and speaking ability
Frequent sitting, walking, stooping/bending, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, reaching above shoulder level, and prolonged static gripping
Occasional standing, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and carrying up to 25 lbs
Infrequent pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs of force
Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
Potential exposure to communicable diseases in a clinical setting
Active Hawaii State Radiologic Technologist license required
ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Minimum one (1) year of CT experience preferred
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with medical staff
