Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location- Mauston, WI
Pay Range - $69,000 to $85,000 Yearly
Full-Time
80 hours per pay period
Day shift (standard weekday schedule)
No weekend rotation
No holiday rotation
The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. This role focuses on improving patients’ ability to communicate effectively and swallow safely through evidence-based assessment and intervention in a clinical healthcare setting.
Perform direct patient care including assessment and treatment of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Conduct initial evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and provide ongoing therapy services.
Complete progress notes, discharge summaries, and all required clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide patient-centered care.
Educate healthcare staff on evaluation findings, treatment recommendations, and current best practices.
Develop and deliver in-service presentations and educational materials as needed.
Communicate with insurance providers regarding patient benefits as required.
Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions to ensure efficient workflow.
Provide patient reminder calls and assist patients and families in navigating the facility.
Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment following therapy sessions.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations.
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
Eligible for Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in the practicing state.
Active, unrestricted state Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Valid, current driver’s license required.
Minimum 1 year of related clinical experience preferred.
Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
Intermediate proficiency with computers and electronic documentation systems.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
