Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CT / X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple age groups. The technologist will apply professional judgment, radiation safety principles, and age-appropriate care while delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role requires flexibility, strong technical expertise, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic and CT imaging procedures for diagnostic interpretation

  • Apply radiation safety and protection principles in all imaging procedures

  • Deliver age-appropriate care across the full patient lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations

  • Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and imaging files

  • Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and preparation for imaging procedures

  • Participate in departmental quality assurance and quality control (daily/weekly QC)

  • Maintain imaging equipment and ensure proper functionality

  • Assist with invasive and interventional imaging procedures as required

  • Set up and operate automatic contrast injectors; adjust contrast protocols by age group

  • Recognize contrast contraindications and follow standard safety precautions

  • Support tele-radiology image transmission

  • Maintain sterile technique when required

  • Assist with supply inventory management and ordering

  • Rotate shifts, take on-call responsibilities, and report to work within required response time

  • Cross-train and work across multiple imaging modalities as assigned

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership


CT & Interventional Imaging Responsibilities

  • Assist with procedure preparation and execution

  • Consult with referring providers as needed

  • Support venipuncture and IV contrast administration

  • Modify imaging protocols for pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients

  • Participate actively in interventional imaging workflows


Professional Standards & Compliance

  • Adhere to organizational ethics, compliance, and confidentiality standards

  • Work effectively with patients and staff from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds

  • Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and stress management in clinical settings

  • Participate in department meetings, in-services, and emergency preparedness drills


Education, Certifications & Licensure

  • ARRT Certification – Radiography (required)

  • Clinical Competency Assessment (within 3 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter)


Experience Requirements

  • Ability to independently perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality


Knowledge, Skills & Advancement Levels

  • Tech I: ARRT-certified in one modality (e.g., General Radiography)

  • Tech II: ARRT-certified in two modalities (CT, MR, MG, NM, or equivalent)

  • Tech III: ARRT-certified in three modalities

  • Tech IV: ARRT-certified in four modalities
