Job Title: CT & X-Ray Technologist (Diagnostic Imaging)

Location - Wrangell, AS

Pay Range - $104,000 to $145,000 Yearly

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CT & X-Ray Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services across multiple modalities. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to care for patients across the full lifespan in a fast-paced environment.


Compensation & Incentives

  • Sign-On Bonus: Up to $25,000 for qualified candidates

  • Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations of all body parts

  • Apply radiation safety and patient protection principles during all procedures

  • Conduct imaging procedures within the department and other clinical areas as needed

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

  • Participate in departmental quality assurance programs

  • Transfer and position patients safely for imaging procedures

  • Rotate shifts and take call as required, with ability to report within required timeframes

  • Support departmental operations in the absence of supervisory staff

  • Perform ancillary duties and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas

  • Adapt to stressful situations while maintaining professional standards

  • Cross-train and work in additional imaging modalities as needed (CT, X-Ray, MRI, Mammography)


CT & Interventional Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment

  • Assist with invasive and interventional procedures

  • Prepare patients and equipment for CT procedures

  • Perform venipuncture and contrast administration

  • Adjust imaging protocols and contrast levels based on patient age and condition

  • Operate automatic injectors

  • Maintain sterile technique and standard precautions

  • Support tele-radiology transmission

  • Perform daily and weekly quality control

  • Assist with supply inventory and ordering


Patient Population

  • Newborn through Geriatric (all age groups)


Education, Certifications & Licensure

  • ARRT – Radiography (Required)

  • ARRT CT Certification (Preferred)

  • Clinical competency assessment required within designated timeframes


Experience Requirements

  • Ability to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality

  • Multi-modality experience strongly preferred


Knowledge, Skills & Advancement Levels

  • Tech I: ARRT certified in one modality

  • Tech II: ARRT certified in two modalities

  • Tech III: ARRT certified in three modalities

  • Tech IV: ARRT certified in four modalities
