Pay Range: $34.15 – $47.93 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $25,000 for qualified candidates

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Urgent Care provides timely, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced urgent care setting. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and efficient patient flow while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
The RN performs comprehensive assessments, prioritizes patient needs, delivers therapeutic interventions, and utilizes clinical judgment to support prompt diagnosis and treatment under provider direction and standing orders.
40 hours per week
Rotating days and weekends
Perform initial triage and comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and preventative health needs
Provide telephone triage, self-care guidance, and care coordination as appropriate
Administer medications and therapeutic treatments (oral, topical, IM, SQ, intradermal, IV push, and infusions)
Initiate, maintain, monitor, and discontinue IV therapy, including secondary IV medications
Document assessments, interventions, patient education, and outcomes accurately in the EMR
Evaluate patient understanding of education and treatment plans
Maintain a safe, clean clinical environment and adhere to infection control standards
Coordinate referrals internally and externally, tracking progress and outcomes
Conduct follow-up calls and support continuity of care
Participate in emergency response and triage as needed
Collaborate effectively with providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing clinical development
May serve as vaccine coordinator or secondary vaccine coordinator
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Eligible for or successful completion of the NCLEX
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska or another U.S. state
Alaska license must be obtained prior to start date
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of required clinical and high-risk competencies within designated timelines
Minimum 2 years of general nursing experience
At least 1 year of experience in an ambulatory care or urgent care setting
Strong understanding of patient-centered care and customer service principles
Knowledge of safety, infection control, and clinic protocols
Proficiency in patient assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking
Skilled in medication administration and use of medical equipment
Strong written and verbal communication, including accurate documentation
Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and problem-solve
Competency in emergency response and life-saving procedures
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance as needed
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs
