Project Overview:

This role supports a healthcare technology initiative focused on implementing updates to EDI healthcare transactions within a Medicaid system environment. The position involves modifying existing EDI transactions, implementing federally and state-mandated changes, and supporting multiple phases of testing, including coordination with external healthcare providers and trading partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with technical translator teams to implement enhancements and modifications to EDI healthcare transactions

• Develop and update software code based on technical and design specifications

• Debug, unit test, and perform integration testing on all code changes

• Support Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and external testing activities by resolving defects and updating code as needed

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather and implement requirements for federal and state regulatory changes

• Participate in cross-functional collaboration with internal and contracted technical teams

• Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Required Technical Skills (in order of importance):

• 5+ years of experience with Actian DataConnect

• 5+ years of experience with Axiom TransSend

• 3+ years of experience with Pervasive Designer data mapping

• 3+ years of experience with Visual Basic

• 5+ years of experience working within a Medicaid program environment

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Experience with Java

• Experience with JavaScript
