• 5 days per week

• 7.5 hours per day

• 37.5 hours per week

Job Summary:

A healthcare facility in New York is seeking a Telemetry Technician responsible for continuous cardiac monitoring and advanced ECG analysis to support patient safety and clinical decision-making. This role requires accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms, timely identification of life-threatening arrhythmias, and effective communication with clinical teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform continuous ECG/EKG monitoring and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias

• Analyze ECG strips and promptly identify potentially life-threatening rhythm changes

• Initiate and assist with codes; document cardiac rhythms during emergency events

• Perform electrocardiograms with correct electrode placement across care settings

• Troubleshoot telemetry and monitoring equipment; respond appropriately to alarms

• Communicate clearly with charge nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff

• Enter and verify physician orders in the electronic medical record system

• Retrieve laboratory results and promptly report critical values

• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organizational policies

• Safely operate and manage telemetry and medical monitoring equipment

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Education Requirement:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Certifications:

• BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross – issued within the last year)

• Completion of a Dysrhythmia Course (Required)
