We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator (Advanced) to support the oversight, management, troubleshooting, and execution of cloud services and platforms. This role plays a critical part in maintaining and enhancing infrastructure, applications, data platforms, and security across a complex, multi-cloud environment.
The Systems Administrator will work on projects and operational tasks of medium to high complexity, providing daily support, maintenance, and administration of server and cloud environments. This position requires strong ownership of issues, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Support, manage, and expand on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure
Administer and monitor servers to ensure security, availability, and performance
Coordinate server configuration and administration with multiple internal teams
Recommend and plan future server, software, and platform upgrades
Monitor systems and applications; troubleshoot issues and escalate to vendors as needed
Design, configure, and maintain network and firewall connections
Analyze system performance (availability, utilization, throughput, latency) and implement tuning improvements
Identify opportunities to refactor solutions for improved performance, cost efficiency, and scalability
Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, repositories, pipelines, and organizational settings
Support and guide application hosting and deployment of complex solutions
Deploy, manage, and maintain services across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and other cloud platforms
Provide technical support to other IT staff, including developers
Perform additional duties as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Equivalent professional experience may be substituted for formal education
5–8 years of professional experience in information systems engineering or a related field
3–5 years of experience in infrastructure/network systems operations, support, maintenance, and administration
2–3 years of hands-on experience with:
Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022
IIS Administration
Network communications (TCP/IP, DNS)
Samba/CIFS file sharing and NTFS permissions
AWS cloud systems (required)
Highly Desired:
Microsoft Azure cloud systems
Other cloud providers (e.g., GCP)
Microsoft enterprise software administration
Middleware platforms (API Management, IT Service Automation, batch job services)
Strong proficiency in AWS Services
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Services
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Server products
Advanced Linux administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu), including patching
Solid understanding of cloud-based network architectures
Experience automating administrative tasks to reduce manual effort
Strong grasp of IT infrastructure, application development architectures, and hosting environments
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across diverse technology platforms
Ability to prioritize work, manage competing demands, and meet short- and long-term goals
Ability to document systems, processes, and automation effectively
Comfortable context-switching between multiple tasks and technologies
