Job Type: Full-Time | Hospital-Based Laboratory
We are seeking an experienced Section Coordinator to join a hospital-based laboratory team. This role provides technical expertise, leadership, and operational support within the laboratory, ensuring high-quality diagnostic testing and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who values patient care, teamwork, and continuous improvement in laboratory services.
Perform STAT and routine laboratory testing and analyze specimens accurately and efficiently
Conduct quality control procedures in accordance with established protocols and document results
Assist supervisors and department leadership in staff development and regulatory compliance (CAP, CLIA, etc.)
Support training and onboarding of laboratory personnel
Prioritize, perform, and delegate laboratory testing based on patient needs, staff competency, productivity standards, and departmental policies
Provide operational updates and feedback to laboratory leadership
Demonstrate effective leadership by fostering collaboration, maintaining professional relationships, and promoting high-quality service delivery
Associate Degree in Science (required)
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field (preferred)
State of Florida Technologist Supervisory License (required)
ASCP or equivalent certification (preferred)
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist (required)
