Pay Rate: $30.00/hour
Standard Hours: 32–40 hours/week (36 hours typical)
The Phlebotomist is responsible for performing blood collection and donor services in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. This role ensures quality care, accurate documentation, and a safe, organized work environment while supporting blood supply initiatives.
Provide excellent service to all patients, donors, and internal staff
Screen donors to determine eligibility following established guidelines
Perform all aspects of whole blood collection and therapeutic phlebotomy procedures
Conduct blood collections onsite and at offsite blood drives
Prepare, process, and label blood components and specimens for laboratory testing
Accurately document donor records, deferrals, and data entry in computerized systems
Assist with donor recruitment initiatives to maintain adequate blood supply
Perform daily inventory checks and replenish supplies as needed
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area
Follow departmental policies, safety guidelines, and emergency procedures
Demonstrate service excellence in all interactions
Perform other related duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Prior phlebotomy experience required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Proficiency with computers and electronic systems
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
