A large, full-service acute care hospital in North Central Florida is seeking a Neurology Registered Nurse (RN) to join its inpatient neurology team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered neurological care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes.
500+ bed, full-service medical and surgical hospital
Joint Commission–accredited
Comprehensive Stroke Center
Accredited Chest Pain Center
Services include neurosciences, cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics, women’s health, and wound therapy
Assess patient condition upon admission and during each shift; promptly identify and report changes in neurological or overall patient status
Perform ordered procedures, monitoring, and treatments in accordance with provider directives
Administer medications safely, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of adverse reactions
Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic medical record
Provide responsive, compassionate care by anticipating patient needs and addressing concerns efficiently
Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care
Translate complex medical terminology into clear, understandable information
Serve as a patient advocate while maintaining privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Experience accepted from home health, LTAC, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient rehab, or corrections
Acute care experience not required
Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Active Florida RN license or approved multistate (compact) RN license
