Location: Ashburn, VA 20148
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: 8:50 AM – 3:40 PM
Pay Rate: $50–$53/hour

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a qualified School-Based Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that support students’ academic participation, functional independence, and overall development. This role involves collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students succeed within the educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations assessing fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and functional skills

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services in individual and group settings

  • Support classroom participation, self-care skills, handwriting, and adaptive functioning

  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress

  • Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications as needed

  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans accordingly

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports

  • Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions

  • Ensure compliance with state, district, and professional practice standards

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

  • Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist

  • Eligibility to work in a school-based or pediatric setting

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting

  • Familiarity with IEP processes and special education regulations

  • Experience working with children with developmental, physical, or sensory needs

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills

  • Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs

  • Excellent documentation and organizational abilities

  • Collaborative, student-centered approach to care

Work Environment
