Position Title: Clinical Pharmacist

Work Location: Panama City, Florida (Onsite)
Shift Schedule:

  • Mixed Shifts

    • 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

    • 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical and pharmacy services while supporting safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-acuity setting and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret, verify, and accurately enter medication orders into the pharmacy system

  • Compound and dispense medications in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

  • Monitor medication therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and dosing appropriateness

  • Support and maintain formulary compliance, including therapeutic interchanges and rational drug selection

  • Provide timely and accurate drug information to healthcare providers and patients

  • Participate in clinical pharmacy services such as:

    • Pharmacokinetics

    • Anticoagulation monitoring

    • Renal dose adjustments

    • IV to PO conversions

    • Nutrition support and pain management

  • Document all clinical interventions and activities accurately

  • Complete reports related to medication errors and adverse drug reactions

  • Supervise daily pharmacy operations and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians and staff


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital clinical pharmacist experience

    • Must be within the last year

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy

  • Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing

  • Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy workflows and clinical practices


Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Self-starter with strong clinical judgment and confidence in decision-making

  • Ability to work independently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment

  • Prior experience in large hospital systems is a strong plus

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate clinical knowledge and recommendations
