We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support laboratory operations by performing routine and moderately complex laboratory testing. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid laboratory foundation, including new graduates who have completed clinical rotations or have prior experience as a lab assistant or specimen processor.
Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and quality standards
Assist with specimen processing, accessioning, and handling
Maintain accurate documentation of test results and quality control activities
Follow laboratory safety, compliance, and regulatory guidelines
Support troubleshooting of routine laboratory issues and escalate as needed
Collaborate effectively with laboratory leadership and team members
Medical laboratory experience preferred; training available based on candidate experience
State of Florida Medical Laboratory Technician License (Generalist) required
License must be active or already applied for
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
One of the following certifications required:
MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician)
ASCP
CPT
AMT
Authorization to work in the United States required
Strong foundational knowledge of laboratory science
New graduates encouraged to apply if they have completed clinical rotations
Prior experience as a lab assistant or complex specimen processor is highly valued
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy
Reports to: Laboratory Manager and Laboratory Supervisor
Multiple openings available; roles have been open for an extended period
