Position Title: Medical Technologist (MT)

Shift Availability:

  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Rotating Weekends)

Desired Location: Panama City, Florida (Onsite)


Role Overview

We are seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) to perform laboratory testing across multiple specialty areas, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology. This role plays a critical part in providing accurate laboratory data to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical analyses and accurately report results.

  • Receive, process, and properly handle laboratory specimens and supplies.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory instrument issues; document corrective actions and perform minor repairs when required.

  • Ensure quality control procedures are completed accurately and within required timeframes; follow corrective action protocols as needed.

  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • Train and mentor new employees and/or students as assigned.

  • Participate in phlebotomy and specimen accessioning activities.


Required Qualifications

  • Florida State Medical Technologist (MT) License (Generalist)

    • License must be active or already applied for

    • Candidates with any level of experience will be considered; training provided

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or a related field

  • Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist registry required to start

  • ASCP or equivalent certification preferred

  • Authorization to work in the United States required


Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Strong foundational knowledge in clinical laboratory sciences

  • New graduates encouraged to apply if they have completed clinical rotations or worked as a lab assistant/specimen processor

  • Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
