Shift Availability:
Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Rotating Weekends)
Desired Location: Panama City, Florida (Onsite)
We are seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) to perform laboratory testing across multiple specialty areas, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology. This role plays a critical part in providing accurate laboratory data to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Perform complex microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical analyses and accurately report results.
Receive, process, and properly handle laboratory specimens and supplies.
Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory instrument issues; document corrective actions and perform minor repairs when required.
Ensure quality control procedures are completed accurately and within required timeframes; follow corrective action protocols as needed.
Maintain compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Train and mentor new employees and/or students as assigned.
Participate in phlebotomy and specimen accessioning activities.
Florida State Medical Technologist (MT) License (Generalist)
License must be active or already applied for
Candidates with any level of experience will be considered; training provided
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or a related field
Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist registry required to start
ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
Authorization to work in the United States required
Strong foundational knowledge in clinical laboratory sciences
New graduates encouraged to apply if they have completed clinical rotations or worked as a lab assistant/specimen processor
Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
