This opportunity is with a community-based acute care hospital in North Central Florida that provides comprehensive emergency and inpatient services. The facility supports a 24-hour Emergency Department and delivers patient-focused care through advanced technology, skilled clinicians, and a compassionate, team-oriented culture.
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients across the lifespan while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. The ER RN ensures safe, efficient, and compassionate care in alignment with professional nursing standards.
Deliver exceptional patient care while demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy.
Assess patient conditions, monitor symptoms, and document changes in status.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered and evaluate patient responses.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
Interpret diagnostic tests and assess patient needs.
Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care strategies.
Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of clinical equipment.
Delegate and supervise support staff as appropriate.
Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality standards.
Minimum 1 year of acute care Emergency Department RN experience
Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license
Compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within required timeframe
BLS, ACLS, and PALS (to be obtained within 30 days of start date)
Associate Degree in Nursing
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
