Candidates must be comfortable with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating all unit operations during the assigned shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures. This role serves as a clinical and operational resource for staff and supports a patient-first culture that drives positive clinical outcomes and overall unit performance.
Assist with admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
Participate in ongoing evaluation of patient care quality in collaboration with nursing leadership.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and leaders to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
Support a patient-first philosophy and participate in service recovery as needed.
Implement nursing engagement strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
Provide input on interviewing, selecting, onboarding, and training new staff.
Recommend and assist with training, development, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
Support inventory control and assist with management of unit supplies and equipment.
Strong, current acute care Med-Surg experience required
Preference for candidates with recent charge RN experience in acute care Med-Surg
Alternatively, at least 2 years of recent staff RN experience on a Med-Surg unit
Experience must be current (non-recent Med-Surg experience will not be considered)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact).
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required (RN Diploma or ADN); BSN preferred.
BLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Participation in professional nursing organizations encouraged.
