Schedule: 5 nights per week; may include weekends
A large, specialized acute care hospital with 400+ beds dedicated exclusively to women’s and children’s health. The organization is a recognized regional leader in obstetrics, high-risk pregnancy, neonatal care, gynecology, infertility services, minimally invasive surgery, pediatrics, and imaging. The hospital supports one of the highest delivery volumes in the region and operates a Level IV NICU, providing the highest level of neonatal care. The organization is part of a large healthcare network committed to patient-centered, high-quality care.
The Nurse Manager, Labor & Delivery is responsible for administering, analyzing, and evaluating patient care within the Labor & Delivery unit. This role provides leadership oversight for clinical quality, staffing, and operational performance while serving as a resource for nursing staff. The Nurse Manager collaborates with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to advance patient outcomes, clinical excellence, and departmental goals.
Administer, analyze, and evaluate patient care within the assigned nursing unit.
Advise hospital leadership on patient care quality, budgetary projections, and performance improvement initiatives.
Anticipate future departmental needs to support high-quality patient care and operational effectiveness.
Serve as a clinical and educational resource to nursing staff, promoting ongoing professional development and clinical competence.
Collaborate and coordinate departmental efforts to support organizational mission, vision, and values.
Support quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
3–5 years of recent (within the last year) Acute Care Labor & Delivery leadership experience required.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS (BCLS) certification required.
NRP certification required within six (6) months of hire.
AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required within six (6) months of hire.
Additional advanced life support or specialty certifications as applicable to Labor & Delivery practice.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
