Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: Rochester, New York
The Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, experience in telemetry monitoring, and the ability to manage patients with complex medical conditions while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients.
Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and initiate appropriate interventions.
Utilize Rapid Response protocols for patient deterioration.
Administer and manage oxygen therapy, including nasal cannula, masks, and portable oxygen devices.
Maintain isolation precautions and adhere to infection control guidelines.
Manage peripheral IV lines; provide care for PICC lines and central lines as required.
Operate and monitor telemetry systems, EKG machines, and life support equipment.
Collaborate with Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) for vitals, glucose checks, EKGs, and ADLs.
Coordinate with in-house phlebotomy teams for peripheral lab draws.
Float to other units as needed, including MS, ED, ICU (stable patients only), and Acute Brain Injury units (stable patients only).
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.

Day/Evening: 5:1 (may stretch to 6–7:1)
Night: 6–7:1 (may stretch to 8–10:1 during staffing shortages)
Active RN license
Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience
BLS certification required
Telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation experience
Ability to work every other weekend
