Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and dedicated Radiation Therapist to join a radiation oncology team in Syracuse, NY. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering prescribed radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, strict adherence to safety guidelines, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Qualifications

  • Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree or graduation from an AMA-certified Radiation Therapy program

  • Registered Radiation Therapist (RRT) certification

  • New York State Radiation Therapist license (required)

  • Minimum 3–5 years of related clinical experience

  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with TrueBeam technology

  • CT Simulation (CT Sim) experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists

  • Prepare, operate, and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including Linear Accelerators, Co-60 units, and simulators

  • Interpret treatment prescriptions to ensure accurate and safe radiation delivery

  • Perform CT simulation and pre-treatment procedures, including tumor localization and data collection for treatment planning

  • Obtain radiographic images and patient photographs for treatment verification and portal imaging

  • Monitor patients for radiation reactions and provide appropriate care, education, and instructions

  • Ensure patient safety and compliance with all departmental, institutional, and regulatory policies

  • Coordinate patient appointments and support efficient departmental workflow

  • Maintain accurate treatment records, documentation, and port films

  • Participate in departmental in-service training, quality assurance, and continuing education activities
