Compensation

  • Pay Rate: $44.00 – $47.00 per hour

Schedule

  • Shift Length: 12-hour shifts

  • Shift Time: 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM

  • Availability:

    • One day shift and one day/evening shift available

  • Hours: 12 hours/week (1 shift per week)

  • Weekends: Every other weekend required

  • Holidays: Some holidays required

Job Overview

A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support patient care in an Adult Psychiatric Unit and Psych Float Pool. The LPN will provide direct patient care in acute and psychiatric settings with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care while supporting interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, and prepare them for care

  • Assist with injections, procedures, vital signs, and routine clinical tasks

  • Support physicians and nursing staff during patient exams and treatments

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and clinical areas

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and insurance authorizations

  • Accurately document patient care and communicate patient responses to treatment

  • Participate in nursing care plans and unit management activities

  • Perform patient care duties across acute care and psychiatric units as assigned

  • Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems effectively

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of LPN experience

  • Psychiatric experience required

  • Inpatient experience preferred

  • Pediatric experience preferred

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Certifications & Licensure

  • Active New York State LPN License (Required)

  • BLS Certification
