Assignment Length: 13 Weeks

Shift & Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts

  • Every other weekend required

Compensation

  • Local: Up to $32/hour

  • Travel: Up to $35.50/hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support a Level 1 Emergency Department Float Pool in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment. This role requires flexibility, strong patient-care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Prior emergency or trauma experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, hygiene assistance, toileting, feeding, and mobility support

  • Serve as a safety companion for patients identified as fall or behavioral risks

  • Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to nursing staff

  • Demonstrate understanding of patient growth and development across age groups

  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary team members

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient-care environment

  • Participate in unit-based initiatives and quality improvement activities

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members

  • Accurately document and relay patient information per facility protocols

  • Adhere to ethical standards and participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications

  • Active New York State CNA certification (required)

  • BLS certification (required)

  • Minimum 1 year of patient care experience

  • Emergency Department or Level 1 Trauma experience preferred

  • Ability to pass pre-employment health and compliance requirements

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
