Job Title: MRI Technologist (Contract)
Location: Elmhurst, NY 11373
Department: Radiology – Diagnostic
Assignment Duration: 3 Months
Shift: Night Shift – 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM
Schedule: 5 days/week, alternating weekends and holidays
Pay Rate: $72 per hour
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a night shift contract assignment at a busy acute care hospital in Elmhurst, NY. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing diagnostic MRI procedures, maintaining high imaging standards, and ensuring patient safety in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Perform MRI examinations in an acute care hospital setting
Operate and maintain MRI imaging equipment (GE systems experience required)
Ensure proper patient positioning, comfort, and safety throughout procedures
Maintain high image quality and adhere to imaging protocols
Follow hospital policies, New York State regulations, and safety standards
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and clinical staff to support patient care
Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience in an acute care setting
Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist License (NYSDOH)
ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT Certification
BLS (AHA) – Preferred
Experience with GE MRI equipment required
In-person interview required
Two (2) weeks of mandatory training (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), including EPIC training
35 hours per week
7 hours per day
Nights, weekends, and holidays required
EPIC (training provided)
